Why I built this
I'm John Shoufler. I served in the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1996 as a submariner, on the fast-attack submarine USS Pogy (SSN-647) and the ballistic-missile submarine USS Benjamin Franklin (SSBN-640), where I worked as a nuclear propulsion plant maintenance supervisor.
When I finally sat down to work on my own VA claim, my records were scattered across VA, private doctors, hospitals and my insurance company. Hundreds of pages. I didn't know which VA rules applied to me, what VA had already conceded in my old decisions, or which forms to file.
So I worked through it with an AI assistant. After I logged in to each site, it pulled my records, compared them to VA's rating criteria, found things I had missed, caught details I would have gotten wrong, drafted statements in my own words for me to confirm, and prepared forms for my doctor and for VA.gov. Then I reviewed everything and pressed Submit myself.
